Great Start Traverse Bay/Manistee Collaborative
Strategic Plan Approved!
We are pleased to present the Great Start Traverse Bay/Manistee Collaborative Strategic Plan for Early Childhood. The Collaborative is a group of concerned citizens working on behalf of all children in our region. We include professionals and experts in early childhood from public agencies, public and private non-profits, businesses, schools, healthcare and the faith community, as well as community leaders and decision-makers from the business and philanthropic sectors, and—most importantly—parent of young children.
The Strategic Goals in this plan have been developed and prioritized for our region based on the needs of our families and the opportunities we believe are available to our communities. The Action Agenda identify the people and organizations who will do the work, the resources needed, and the time line for achieving these goals.
We invite you to read this document and share it with your networks of colleagues and friends. If something in this plan sparks your interest, raises a question, or spurs you to action we encourage you to contact the Collaborative and get involved. There are many ways to have an impact on a child’s life—even the smallest gesture of encouragement, coming at the right moment, can make a difference.
